Lane County has been subdivided several times making this yet another. It only requires ten minutes by those living within the proposed area to sign a petition and then vote in favor to make it so. The coastal area has long been orphaned by the Eugene centric Lane County who use coast as a cash cow returning virtually no coastal services. There is no need for additional revenue collection since all currently going to Lane County from the coastal area will remain for Siuslaw County.
