Max FX is a full-service special effects company for the film and television industry. Based out of Hamilton, Max FX was established in 2000 and works on projects throughout Canada. Max FX provides Atmospheric effects (haze, wind, fog), Snow effects (falling snow, snow dressing, blowing snow, frost effects), Water effects (falling rain, storms, flooding, waves), Flame effects (fires of all shapes and sizes), and Mechanical effects (hanging and dropping things, breaking things, moving and shaking things). Max FX is fully licensed and insured to provide pyrotechnical effects such as explosions, bullet hits, sparks, and squibs. We can assist Stunts with things like car crashes and rollovers, and jumps through windows. Max FX is also licensed to provide guns and other weapons on set.
