James Hudson Crissman provides architectural consulting services to institutions, working specifically in the process of project definition and architect selection. With over forty years of distinguished practice in architecture, James Hudson Crissman is recognized by clients and colleagues as a respected voice for quality in design and project advisory service, including project oversight, needs assessment, and contract negotiations. James Crissman was a founding principal of the nationally and internationally recognized architectural design firm, Crissman & Solomon Architects Inc., from 1969 to 1993. Crissman has performed leadership roles in the Boston Society of Architects, as well as the New England and Massachusetts Chapters of the American Institute of Architects. He has also served as Chairman of the Massachusetts Designer Selection Board. Crissman serves as a professional advisor to students at Harvard University's Graduate School of Design, and was named a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects in 1984.
