In addition to his law degree, he has earned his B.S. in Microbiology and his M.B.A. in Business Management. Jeff is a registered Patent Attorney and focuses his practice in the areas of patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets, including procuring intellectual property rights and resolving those rights in litigation. He has also developed substantial expertise and regularly counsels clients on IP licensing and ownership issues. Jeff practiced with large and small firms in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area. Jeff also serves as a Conciliation Court Judge in Hennepin County and as an Adjunct Professor of Law at William Mitchell College of Law. Jeff has professional experience outside of law in the chemical, food, and pharmaceutical industries where he worked for twelve years. Jeff brings his understanding of these industries and business in general to the table when counseling his clients on both IP and general commercial matters. In 2003, Jeff was named a “Rising Star” by Minnesota Law & Politics magazine.
