Hope Valley Ambulance was found in 1951 as part of the Hope Valley Wyoming Fire department, a small group of volunteers got together to help fill a void in the area for ambulance services in the 1950's it was not uncommon for ambulances to have a very long response time, initially ambulances responded from other towns such as Westerly and/or local funeral homes, in the 1960's Hope Valley Ambulance split off from the fire department to become it's own agency in the 1961, The Ambulance was initally housed out of the Hope Valley Fire Station (the old station that stood where the Hope Valley Post office now resides) in the early the ambulance squad was granteed use of land on Fairview Avenue by the S.R.
