Deborah S. Derman, Ph.D.

Deborah S. Derman is a grief and bereavement counselor, group facilitator, and educator who has been providing counseling services for over twenty years. In addition to providing grief therapy, she gives professional lectures, trainings, and workshops in the areas of grief, bereavement, and recovery. Dr. Derman provides counseling to widows and widowers, children facing the loss of a parent, children facing the loss of a sibling, adult children facing the death of a parent, and those who are coping with the suicide of a loved one. There can be great value in participating in a grief support group where grieving people can share their experiences of loss with others. Dr. Derman has extensive experience facilitating support groups for grief and loss. Colors of Loss and Healing is the first coloring book designed for those undergoing loss and bereavement, or for those experiencing a significant challenge in their lives. Each beautifully illustrated page focuses on the essential elements, tasks, and experiences that are necessary for healing.
