The company was established in 1983 and has since been producing generic APIs under strict European specifications. The production facilities are certified with a European cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practice). The quality of Biogena’s products meet all the European Pharmacopoeia (Ph. Eur.) specifications and comply with European regulations and guidelines for Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients. The company’s activities include the development and production of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) and the preparation of the Active Substance Master File (ASMF) required by the pharmaceutical corporations in order to register their drugs. Biogena has a highly qualified-workforce including a variety of Life Sciences & Technical experts such as Ph.D. holders Organic Chemists, Analytical Chemists, Chemical Engineers and well-trained instrument Operators. Environmental sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. Any kind of produced fumes or volatile products during the manufacturing processes, pass through the exhaust system and are neutralized and removed through wet scrubbers that wash the gases with basic/acidic solution. In addition, all the organic wastes are collected and dispose through licensed companies for waste chemicals. Various solvents are also distilled/purified and reused for other processes of the plant.
