AIM-AHEAD Resource Center of Excellence at the University of Houston for Data Curation, Linkages and Harmonization

The project establishs the AIM-AHEAD Resource Center of Excellence at the University of Houston (UH) for Data Curation, Linkages, and Harmonization of Datasets. The project aims: (1) Conduct a detailed assessment of workforce AI/ML training needs and the existing AI/ML data and infrastructure capacity at UH. (2) Provide training and capacity-building services to train trainers at the proposed training center. (3) Foster and engage multi-disciplinary and multi- institutional partnerships between UH, Savannah State University, UTHealth School of Biomedical Information (SBMI), industry partners, AIM-AHEAD Cores, and stakeholders. The collaboration with AIM-AHEAD offers several advantages, including training and capacity-building opportunities, knowledge and expertise exchange, and policy and advocacy support. UH and the nationally renowned assembled team are well-suited for this project due to its deep community engagement focus, AI/ML expertise, and UH Provost's Office's initiative to hire AI/ML Faculty.
