Alan Kresse has been a professional freelance photographer in the Washington, DC metro area for the past 35 years. His interest in photography began in his childhood years in Ann Arbor, Michigan when he printed his first photograph in his neighbor’s dark room. Since then, Alan has studied photography at various schools including Montgomery College and the University of Maryland where he was photo editor of the 1980 yearbook at College Park. Now Alan works as a freelance photographer. In September of 2019 Alan partnered with Tommy Bowes and Sarah Bonner in the restoration of Hank Dietle's Tavern. Going forward he has had to curtail accepting new photo clients.
